The galaxy is in tatters
The tyrannical Authority has been defeated by the
Conviction of the scrappy under-resourced Coalition

Tricks of Shadowlight are similar to playsets or campaign frames in other tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs). They’ll provide groups with what’s called a monad in S&P’s omniverse, a unique universe where they can set stories, with many of S&P’s game creation questions answered and established in advance. Groups can choose a Trick of Shadowlight to help hit the ground running with story, setting and character elements sketched out before play begins.
